dont take out RescueMyCar.com without realising that every call out will cost 40 pounds. if you dont have a debit caqrd or the cash you wont get a breakdown vehicle. also if you take out the contract and change your mind it will cost you 15 pounds there is no cooling off period so seriously think about it.

    To clear things up a bit, firstly we have only one membership where an excess applies (available exclusively via Moneysupermarket.com). This policy includes 1 hour labour at the roadside, full nationwide recovery for you, your vehicle and up to 7 passengers to a desination of your choice if the vehicle is cannot be fixed, assistance if you should breakdown at home, money towards the cost of alternative transport and accomodation, cover should you have an accident and free legal assistance. In fact, it includes many more features than some more expensive policies. All we ask is that you pay the first £40 should you need to call us out, this type of membership works particularly well if you have a reliable car and you are looking for a low cost ' just-in-case 'option or if you would be able to sort out any minor problems yourself but need to be covered if anything serious happens. £40 starts to look like very good value when you consider that a recovery could cost you well in to the hundreds of pounds if you didn ' t have this policy.

    The excess on this membership is not something hidden, in fact it is quoted the very first time you see the membership details on moneysupermarket.com, and then again in the policy wording and key facts. You cannot proceed to buy the membership without confirming that you have read and understood the terms of the membership. It ' s definitely not the case that you need to read the terms of the policy carefully, the excess is detailed in bright blue in the first few lines of the policy wording and the keyfacts. In any case, if you do miss these three mentions, you can upgrade to a policy without an excess at any time, just give us a call.

    Secondly, The £15 cancellation fee applies in the first 14 days of the policy providing no claims have been made. These 14 days are the ' cooling off period ' . After this no refund is possible.
