General Comments

I have had my Jaguar S Type 3.0 for three years and I wish I had never laid eyes on it ! Yes, when it works, it's a dream to drive, comfortable but I could never say reliable! I wonder, everytime I go out to it, what will be wrong today? So far it has probably cost around £3,000 in repairs and the final straw now is that three of it's windows have failed within a short space of time. It appears that this is a general problem with the S-Type and not a mere coincidence so now I have written to Jaguar, who have sent an apologetic reply and I am now waiting to hear from their customer relations department.
The car locked me in it the other day and I had to climb over the seats to try all the door catches, eventually one of them released and I got out, on a boiling hot day, this was not at all funny. I have never had a car with so many problems and someone quite appropriately commented that the car was probably a Friday afternoon job, last off the production line before end of shift ! When the windows were working, I once pressed the key to open it, the windows, including the sunroof opened but none of the doors so my son climed through the sunroof to release a door catch but it just kept locking and unlocking. this car is a total disaster and I am scared to drive it anywhere too far away from home.
