I bought the car in May from Motorpoint Burnley. It was a Vauxall Corsa 1.4 with 4500 miles on the clock. The brakes made a grating sound when applied. I thought it would wear off after I had been told that it was due to the car having been standing. After 200 miles the discs were clearly clean but it was still grating. When I took it back in the head mechanic stated that he had cleaned all the breaks and they were ok. I pointed out that the grating was still there to which he said, "I'm a MOT trained mechanic and I say they are ok." They refused to do anything further. Two days later I ran the car into the main vauxall agents and they rectified the problem by replacing the break pads which they said were faulty. Need I say anything more about the top mechanic and the motorpoint team
