unprofessional and arogant ground crews. The whole transit in Doha.

General Comments

There were two major problems with Qatar Airways that caused the uncomfortable experiences and make me now think twice to fly again with Qatar Airways in the future " especially when it comes to travel with a baby/ small children. 1st caused was the chaotic system as we board to the plane from the bus at Doha airport and the unprofessional handling by the ground crews in assisting passenger. FYI: I am a mother of a 4 months old baby " during the boarding, no one was actually giving me neither assistance nor priority to enter in the plane. Despite that I had requested for special assistance to the ground crews, I had to wait very long in a long queue until I could be able to reach to my seat. As far as I know and I have travelled many times in my life, parents who travel with children in any airports and fly with any carriers always receive priorities to enter first by boarding. This time with Qatar, it was not the case. They told me only passengers from 1st class or disabled are allowed to enter first.

Second problem was the new rules that have been applied recently to prohibit using your own baby strollers and delivered it on the aircraft. I was only informed about this at the counter desk, two hours before departing from Jakarta. We did not receive this information as we left Madrid. The new rules said that due to the complexity of the delivery of baby strollers at the aircraft, Qatar now prohibits passengers to get their own strollers delivered on the aircraft in Doha and instead it offers the public strollers which are available at the airport. The rules however forget to consider the baby ' s group age to use the strollers. The strollers that Qatar Airways provides at the airport are only apt for babies over 6 months old. When we travelled, my baby was 4 months old and there was no way for her to use this kind of stroller. Moreover my transit time in Doha was almost 8 hours which I could not let my baby to sleep in that particular kind of strollers. I had to explain this reason to Senior Airport SVCS Agent of the ground crew in Jakarta who was so arrogant and unpleasant to me " he did neither want to accommodate nor show his empathy in hearing my explanation. He even rudely told me that I had only two choices either to comply with the rules or I could stay here
