It has nice wood, very very acurate and powerful. But you can put powerful also in the bad points if you don't want to damage your wall or whatever you're shooting at. I'm always using a table behind the target but this rifle shoots right thru the table.
standard it has a scope raiser, which you can take off easily if you don't like it. The scope rail and raiser are both long.
It also has a manual trigger safety. Some people (like me) hate automatic trigger safety because you forget them all the time when you pull the trigger.
It standard has fibre optic sights. Once used to those, you don't want to use the old sights on your other rifles again
It has recoil. Not to much, but it makes you feel like you're shooting something powerful. It's no wonder that it has recoil, because the bullet speed is maximum 1000 feet per second (305 meter per second) which is the same as 681mp/h or 1097km/h.
The price is also cheap.
Bad Points
You can't adjust the trigger and it's pulling heavy. If you shoot the whole day with it, your shoulder might start hurting. Try to put the butt different against your shoulder and it should be fine.
the sights aren't really great if you want to shoot at a long distance but they'll do the job.
General Comments
I never wanted a rifle that many people have, but I'll never regret buying this Gamo Hunter 440. This one is as acurate as my old match rifle (Gamo MC Contest) but much more powerful which is better if you adjust your sights / scope for a short distance. I don't have to change anything in my scope if I shoot at 10 meter or 40 meter distance.
