Enormous 'extra baggage' fees -- Every bag besides your first is PAY BY WEIGHT!


General Comments

After checking that I did not have to pre-register for the 40min stop over in Miami, I was told there would be no problem. A criminal record from many many years ago - would not stop me from flying over, and stopping for 40mins.

LIES!

I had to send my wife and 2yr old on the International Flight ALONE - and spend another $1,000 to find a direct flight - avoiding the all powerful, uncaring, unrealistic USA

Then... My child got strange bumps all over her body, that (after spending a sickening amount on doctors, creams, lotions and travel to the nearest doctor/hospital. I was told that didn't qualify to change the tickets and go home without additional charge. If I paid the $212.00 PER TICKET, They would 'happily' get my family on the next flight.

After telling them I simply do not, after the mess this trip has been, have the funds to pay for that - they wouldnt credit anything for the ticket I could not use (the flight again went over the to-big-for-their-britches USA!) - That perhaps I should call someone back home so they could pay for the change fees!?

Are these people FOR REAL???

Commission over compassion, Money over HUMANITY!

I will NEVER fly American Airlines every again - they simply care NOTHING for the passenger, just their wallet!
