General Comments

I bought a pair of M&S Velcro Trainer made in India ( actually they are leather shoe with 2 velcro straps ) on 14th of March. I wore them to the office for 2 months and noticed that the heel was worn through to the air compartments within the rubber. I took them back to the shop and was told that only head office could decide what to do. After 5 weeks I just received a plastic bag in the mail containing my old shoes and not one word of explanation. Can anyone advise me on my rights ? a mail and picture to watchdog? I am also tempted to take them down to M&S and show them to anyone considering buying a pair ... grrr

    I bought a pair of M&S leather boots. The soles wore out on an 11 mile weekend walk on tarmac and grass. M&S sent them back to their customer services and boots returned 3 weeks later saying they were subject to normal wear and tear and had seen 'considerable' use.
    I took the boots to pieces and discovered they were made in india and had been manufactured using papier mache made from indian newsprint to buffer the sole from the insole! M&S also said their shoes only carry a fair wear and tear guarantee for up to 6 months. Beware, these boots are rubbish!
