Good Points

Clean room and bathroom.
Good breakfast spread that fed the family for the price of 2 adults' meal.
Good location - being opposite the shopping mall and surrounded by small shops and food places like Domino Pizza, Chinese and Indian food. Also cheap enough for a cab ride to Hatfield train station.


Bad Points

There was no safe where we could keep our valuables like travel tickets and document.
There was no phone in the room. But as we have mobile phones, this was not a problem for us.


General Comments

After booking 4 nights at Hatfield Central Travelodge, I read some of the reviews regarding Travelodge accommodation. It did make me want to cancel my booking right away but I didn't. Thus I was not expecting much when my family and I checked in. However all my fears were dispelled as the room turned out to be very clean and comfortable.

As this is supposed to be a budget accommodation, I didn't expect to have daily room cleaning so was pleasantly surprised when housekeeping knocked on the door asking if we would like the room tidied.

But we did learn from other reviewers on this site regarding Travelodge's overbooking policy so my husband called ahead in the morning to confirm our booking and to let them know our estimated arrival time.

I hope that the facility and service at Hatfield Central Travelodge will remain as good as we intend to stay there again.
