Good Points

Down to earth advisor. Looked after us. Overpayments allowed in order to pay off earlier and interest added monthly and not on the outset.


Bad Points

Yes, you do have to travel to a nearest branch and it takes a while for the broker to look into application. But, that's testament to them not want to lend to anybody and put themselves and customers in danger of defaults?


General Comments

Applied for a Black Horse loan and accepted. Yes, we had to travel 12 mile to an office in Oxford to finalise, but on getting there it was well worth it. We had £12,000 on credit cards, one at a rate of 36%(!) APR and we wanted to consolidate these into a sigle loan. Black Horse had offered a max of £9000 max loan at 20.9% APR on the phone. our advisor, was great. He looked into our application further when we got to the office and changed the loan amount to £11,500 and an APR of 15.9%. Great result. Cheques arrived the next working day too.
