Good Points

flexibility / no hassle / excellent online and telephone service / knowledgable and competent staff.


Bad Points

poor 'in credit' interest an borrowing rates.


General Comments

Have had The Virgin One Account Mortgage for 10 yrs and have noticed the difference when it was sold onto RBS. 'In credit' interest is terrible - it never used to be, and I do recall reading something in the literature that I was originally sent about how it would track the BOE base rates ( I believe it now doesn't and has not done for some time). However; in terms of real flexibiilty and a customer service team that is able to follow instructions and do what you ask then it cannot be faulted. It really is an account for people who are capable of managing their own money (seems there arent that many of us around!!) and can be 'trusted' with a big overdraft.
