General Comments

An absolute rip-off...waited weeks without a car, after making a claim with Diamond Car Insurance, but nobody contacted me on how the claim was going. In the end I had to phone them and kept getting a different story: first there were 'damages' added to the claim that I was NOT cliaming for etc; second they told me that if I wasn't going to go their way and have the car written off (totally UNDER the price of the actual value of the car!) they would not return my car and i would have to make arrangements to get it back (it was unroadworthy at the time!); the evaluation of the work done was around £1000...LESS than the car's overall value, and MORE than work quoted by two independent mechanics Id had evaluate the car previously (less than £500)- it was only a headlight repair!!! Finally, when i asked about covering for independent work (of which my excess was £250), they said it wasn't worth them covering it ( £80-250) but that it was more economical to pay for a write-off ( £2500)...er yeh that makes sense?!
