I am quite a reasonable person when it comes to dealing with businesses. I like to take responsibility when I have made mistakes and accept any charges (there is no point being unfair). However, Parship appears to rely on people neglecting their accounts and automatically renew subscriptions without any warning. They do not have any option on their website to disable automatic renewal so you have to be very careful.

The design of the site is a bit odd, and most of the users are not premium, making it difficult to communicate with them. A lot of members never go on because the website has very few members. I recommend using another more popular website with less sketchy payment and billing policies.

    Parship would like to respond to all reviewers who have raised concerns about our automatic renewal policy. Most organisations, whose revenue is subscription based - and this includes the vast majority of online dating companies - use automatic renewal to provide continuity of service to their members. Parship is no different and we would like to stress that we are not in business to mislead or take advantage of our members. After all, they are the life blood of our business.

    However, we are listening to our customers and have, as a result, improved our website to ensure transparency and fairness of our processes. The changes we have implemented include more clear flagging-up of automatic renewal upon purchase and sale confirmation (both onsite and in email communications) AND making it easier for our members to access and cancel the automatic renewal facility. Overall, our members will now be clearly advised and guided from various parts of the website with simple and clear instructions.
