General Comments

About 6 weeks ago we had a barbecue and the sun was really strong. I hadn't bought any new suncream so far this year so a friend offered me some of her Piz Buin In Sun Factor 30 for my bare arms. I liked the fragrance and the way it was non-oily and rubbed in easily. The next day my elbows were a little red and itchy, which I put down to being in the sun for a lot of the afternoon. A week later it was very hot again so we bought some of the same cream on a buy-one-get-one-free offer.
On the last weekend of May I liberally applied the cream to my arms and legs up to mid-thigh. Today, 4 weeks later, I am still covered in an insanely itchy, hot angry rash of tiny red bumps in the exact places I applied the cream. Thank God I didn't put it on my body too! At first I couldn't figure out why I was so itchy, as the rash took about a week to really take hold and I was blaming a change of clothes washing liquid, shower gel, even the cat! But the only thing that makes sense is it is the Piz Buin that is making me itch due to the fact that it was only affected my arms and legs. Eurax lotion makes no difference (and smells awful!) and I am now taking 2 sorts of antihistamines a day (on a pharmacists advice) but I will be going to the doctor this week as I'm still itching like mad after 4 weeks.

I wouldn't say I have sensitive skin and nothing has ever brought me out in a rash like this before. I will be taking this up with Piz Buin as I don't expect weeks pf misery after spending £16 on sun cream.
