Good Points

Gearing is good for decent speed commuting, I rarely have to go over 7k revs, but when you do the surge kicks in - lovely. Motorway riding is good. Wind protection is good. riding position is less cramped than on an out and out sports bike, I'm 6 foot and can travel some distance in comfort.

Bad Points

Only two I've found so far; I found the brakes weren't so good, maybe set up and the speeds, but sometimes have to put some effort into it; and mine doesn't like slow town riding...cats can be a bit mardy sometimes.

General Comments

After my DAS in April I tested a couple of mid-size half-faired and naked bikes like Fazer, MT03, SV650 etc., and remembered that a friend of mine had recommended Thundercats as a good first bike - took one out and was smitten. I commute on it daily and it's comfy, quick and cheap to run. Perfect first bike, not to mention the fact that I straight swapped a rusty old Varadero 125 for my shiny clean '98 T-Cat.
