Good Points

Where to start? Not overpowering like Butlins, where you always feel you're missing out on something. Staff friendly, helpful & fun, they always look like they're having as much fun as everyone else. There really isn't enough room to list all the good points, sorry!

Bad Points

Can't really think of one, have been going for 7 years now and apart from once when a caravan hadn't been cleaned as well as we expected (someone came over within 10 mins & cleaned it superbly), the only thing that springs to mind is all the good points.

General Comments

There's a good reason why people (like myself) keep going back year after year to Vauxhall Holiday Park! At the time of writing there are 8 days until our annual visit to Vauxhall, I'm worse than the kids for checking the calendar, advances weather forecase etc! Have been counting down since before Christmas and the wait is getting unbearable.

Louie the Lion, mascot of Vauxhall, he's better than Father Christmas for getting the children to behave. Tell your kids to behave or they won't get presents, they're wise enough to work out they'll get presents no matter what they do. Tell them that Louie only invites the good children to Vauxhall & they WILL behave! Only takes me saying "Do you want me to call Louie?" and suddenly I'm surrounded by angels. My children didn't used to eat their crusts - since I told them they're called "Louie crusts" and will make them grow as big as Louie, suddenly the crusts are eaten all up!

I've been to about a dozen sites over the years, Vauxhall has an incredible atmosphere which I haven't found elsewhere. May be caused by a camp full of happy people giving an incredible buzz, but it's an amazing feeling.

Less frantic than Butlins, a lot more fun & organised, plenty of places nearby to explore, the warmest swimming pool in the country, varied entertainment in the afternoons and evenings, cheap ice-cold beer in all 3 bars, including the sky sports bar (open before 11am somehow, sky sports, more pool/snooker tables than a snooker hall), supermarket, sauna, doctor/nurse on-site, they've been doing this for some time & really know what to do.

7 days and 23 hours until my holiday.... Really can't imagine a time when we choose somewhere else for holiday, many people feel exactly the same. As always, will book next year's holiday when on-site, takes the sting out of leaving.
