General Comments

Every ride is a fun ride on the Aprilia SR 50 DiTech. Hit the curves! That's where the fun is at with this Aprilia. The bike is very smooth handling. I really became kind of addicted to curved tarmac because of the fun, stability and smoothness. Riding in the dark is a little tricky as the standard lights are quite dim. I guess I should replace them with a Xenon kit or use the lights from the SR 150 model. Although it's a sport-bike, it sure is comfortable and very easy to ride. With the 13" wheels it is far more comfortable than the one with 10" wheels I had before.
Maintenance is made easy as everything is easily accessible. The spark plug is just underneath the stand, which you can access without removing anything. Between the footrests is a removable cap which gives you access to the battery and the injection system. Bravo for the build quality. Technically it is also very nice. The electronics guarantee a smooth ride. The Aprilia is not a smoky machine when idling as it adjusts oil mixture depending on the engine rev speed. It runs 50km on just one liter of petrol, which is very economic. It has an air compressor, so that's why I outrun almost all other bikes at the lights, I guess. Too bad this model is not being produced in DiTech version, anymore.
