cxt's Review of Exeter Friendly Society
24th Jun 2009
Overall Rating
- Value for money

they tell you the age at which your paymetn rate is assesd at when you join stayes the same forever - so if you join at age 39 and are billed at a rate refecletive of insurning somone that age, say £1000 a year. You will always be billed as if you were 39. This DOES NOT mean your bill will always be the £1000 though. It goes up every year, due to 'costs'
General Comments
Exeter Friendly Society's Low Cost plan isnt worth the money it took to print the policy.
They have a high excess and a low max payout for out patient diagnostics, tests and consults although this is per year not per case.
They do NOT pay for any emergency treatment NOR emergency admisson to the hospital, NOR for chronic conditions, like asthma. So if you have an asthma attack and you need to be admitted to hospital, you will pay, they don't. If however you are able to schedule you attack and prebook yourself in ,then they are happy to pay.
