My wife and I had taken the 17 day Europe tour with Taj in May 2009. Our overall impression was very good and would definitely recommend them , particularly to Indian origin tourists. We are based in Bangalore and had done the Taj booking through Chariot travels ,Bangalore and found them as well very helpful and reliable. There was no problem with any of the travel or hotel or transport arrangements.Taj understands Europe well and also the aspirations of Indians....they are therefore an ideal choice . This is our second tour with Taj and would have no hesitation in using them again!. The tour Managers were very good....they knew their jobs, a good knowledge of the places we visited, caring and very hard working to make the guests comfortable and meet their expectations. They did a good job of time keeping in spite of the general tendency among Indians to be coming late. The caravan service to serve hot and tasty Indian meals everyday ,lunch and dinner, was indeed a very special plus point in favor of Taj. I would like to write under this, areas for improvement. Firstly,i would say that most Indians on tour are first time travelers to Europe or for that matter first time abroad. There should be an easy to understand , visual demo of how to use western toilets, bath rooms ( shower curtain to drop within tub),need to wait in queue for services, not being too loud, etc. They should also be told what not to expect.... issues with Europe itself rather than Taj per se e.g. that the breakfast is continental and no masala dosa. An area that Taj travels could help was in some hotels ( in Italy ),there was no a/c and in summer that becomes important to be provided.
