Good Points

They seem reasonably priced, so I guess if you can ever actually receive your item, it would be a good point.


Bad Points

Terrible communication. SLOW SLOW SLOW shipping!!

And be warned, their order fulfilment policy states:

"We reserve the right to send items of equivalent function in order to fill your order in a timely manner."

I sure hope they don't decide to send me something I didn't order just to expedite the shipping!


General Comments

Looks like I'm another in a long line of people duped into buying something from hobbytron.

I ordered an airsoft gun almost 2 weeks ago. I called last week and asked when it would ship (Yes, I actually managed to get someone on the phone my first try). I was told that the gun had been on backorder, but that a shipment had arrived a day earlier and it would ship in 2-3 days. Funny, it sure didn't say backordered to me when I placed the order! And they sure as heck did charge my credit card right away!

Anyway, this was almost a week ago, and the web site still says "Order Status: Processing (Your order is still being processed in the warehouse and should ship in the next day or two. We have no further information regarding your order and the status will be updated once it ships.)"

So I emailed them yesterday using the online form, and specifically asked that they not just say "2 to 3 days". I got a boiler plate reply that said "Orders generally take 2-3 days to process before they ship, sometimes a little longer. You will be notified via email if you order is placed on backorder.". What?! I sure hope after this long that the item is not suddenly placed on backorder! And so much for reading my message! And what exactly does "a little longer" mean anyway?!

Anyway, 2 weeks in, and still no indication that it is going to ship. I'm not sure what else to do. I guess I'll give it until the end of the week, then I'll refute it with my credit card company and cancel the order.

If I do get it, I just hope nothing wrong with it because god forbid I should have to return it and deal with them again!
