Good Points

Very reliable and well made. Good brakes, very comfortable. Doesnt notice luggage. Could go on for ever. I have got the bike Insured via the vintage Japanese Bike club...Pennies in comparison to my blackbird !! It is a very big bike. I am a big guy and dont find it a problem

Bad Points

I wish that the swinging arms was solid Aluminium like my Blackbird, and I wish the chain adjusters were like Kawasaki or Triumph. Wish that I didnt have to take off the stock Honda rear indicators when I fitted the Givi wing Rack..I wish it had a coin box on the fairing for Toll fees like the ZZR.

General Comments

I own a 1992 Red and Black Honda CBR1000FN on a J plate. Its the second 1000F that I have owned, the other 10 years ago. The current bike had just over 15k on the clock when I purchased it in 2006, it is in extremely good condition. I am its third owner. I am 6'2 and 17 stone. the bike is extremely comfortable, albeit not exciting. It does everything that I want, however its not as much fun as a ZZR 1100 or the Blackbird. I have just travelled from scotland in appalling weather with three givi cases, a journey of 460 miles in one go..It didnt feel like that and I dont feel too bad. This bike is undoubtedly a classic. I reached the point where I was fed up of new bikes depreciating in winter. I paid £1200 for it and its still worth it in my mind. Nobody is going to nick it because its considered old fashioned.
