Bad Points
Too much stuff required to set up an account for a very straight-forward small business.
General Comments
I applied to Abbey for a business account about 2 weeks ago, as my current Barclays account is due to start charging me soon & Abbey's free banking is very attractive. After hearing nothing for over a week, I contacted them today to check the progress of my account set-up. I was told that a letter was sent to me on 12th of this month (which I did not recieve), asking me to get a letter from either a solicitor or my accountant to validate my business as it was "high risk"! I'm a London Taxi driver that has been trading for 2 years, so where's the high risk come from??
I told them to send my stuff back and shove it!
