General Comments

beware!!! post office car insurance uses automatic renewal!!!!! i had never heard of this before, but it gives a company the right to take money from your debit or credit card without your express permission. my quote last year from them was around £200- this year they sent me a renewal price of £572.50. strange as none of my circumstances have changed and have never made any claims. i briefly read the quote they sent and found a cheaper quote with another company. however i have just received policy documents from the post office, welcoming me as a returning customer having taken the full £572.50 from my credit card. having phoned them to complain about this they are now hitting me with cancellation charges!!!! avoid at all costs!!! please also check your own insurance policy to make sure that you do not have automatic renewal as having checked other websites, i have found that many other people have fallen for this disgusting practice with all kinds of companies.

hi, like this comment, but can i point out, with regards to p/o telling you are going to be charged cancellation fee's. if you have took insurance elsewhere, then you simply return the certificate of insurance and a photocopy of you cert from your new insurer ( dont send the original ) youll never get it back. then p/o will refund you the full amount that you have paid. as you have been dual insured.

you are right aswell, alot of insurance companies have auto renewal, as a customer you just have to be aware when your renewal is due, when receiving your renewal letter, which you should receive 28days before the renewal is due, then cancel if you are not happy.

    happy days :)
