General Comments

Excellent product and service! I really do have everyone at The Wedding Shop, Colchester to thank for helping me choose my absolutely beautiful wedding dress.

1. The range of dresses - obviously I loved my dress, that is why I chose it! But the shop had so many I loved and could easily have worn on my wedding day. The thing that struck me most was the range they had, they stocked all the big names and designers. Most of what you'd see in the wedding magazines, Jenny Peckham, Essence, Benjamin Roberts, La Sposa etc. were all in there and I found the range and choice just as good if not better than the London stores.

2. The experience - I loved the atmosphere of the shop, everytime I went in whether it was to choose a dress (I went in several times to try on dresses!) or have my fittings I always had plenty of room and privacy, my mum and friends were made very welcome and there are plenty of accessories to try on with the dresses: veils, shoes, tiaras, handbags. The shop also stock really handy wedding essentials like white umbrellas, stockings, honeymoon wear etc.

What is great about this place is that they do all the alterations in-house and all the ladies know a great deal about seamtressing. I choose a dress that needed a lot of alteration and they explained everything to me very well and instllled such faith in me. The work they did on the dress was genius and impecable. I felt much better not having my dress sent away for alteration by someone who had never even seen it on me.

3. The staff - this is what really shone for me. The service I received was second to none, The Wedding Shop staff really were the 'dream team'. Always friendly, smiling, helpful and on hand to give excellent advice...they never tired of my indecision. I enjoyed my fittings so much because of the fun I'd have with the staff. Although they meet excited brides everyday of their working lives they treated me like the only one and seemed genuinely interested in my wedding.

I know this sounds too good to be true but I am a genuine customer with no ties to this shop...genuinely my experience of The Wedding Shop was perfect.
