Good Points

cheap and good for one season - more if you do not run it for more than a couple of minutes (with couple of minutes of rest for cooling)


Bad Points

-belt drive - tension causes base plate to buckle when pulley gets hot.
-spares very expensive (baseplate + blade + cable costs more than the new mower)


General Comments

Get a direct drive mower. These belt driven ones are not bult to last. Had the spares been reasonably priced it would have been a mitigating actor.
the base plate on the power compact tends to buckle and causes the belt to slip of. I managed to make my Flymo Power Compact 330 last a few years (lured by the cheap price) by modifying the base plate which now has given up its ghost.
Shall breakup and sell the parts.
