Good Points

Lady on the phone was sympathetic with lots of 'Oh my God!' type of responses


Bad Points

Take ages to do anything
Make decisions that you are not informed of
Seem confused most of the time
Can never get in touch with your 'claim handler' who appears to be the only one who can answer any questions


General Comments

My car was written off in the night whilst it was parked in the street-along with two others. I called Diamond Car Insurance to let them know there had been an accident and pass on the information provided by the police. As the accident was criminal (motorist traveling at 50+ speed limit and ran off after accident) we have not been able to get the details ourselves.

Diamond should have contacted the police to get the details but refused to as it would not be 'financially viable'. I had to beg for the remainder of my policy to be refunded and six weeks later they still haven't done anything other than offer me a few hundred pounds and 2 years knocked off my no-claims!
