Good Points

They looked nice on the shelf.


Bad Points

They fell to pieces and the customer services staff are defensive and offhand.


General Comments

I bought a pair of Indian made Marks and spencers boots at the same time as a piar of shoes from Stead and Simpson. The Mark's boots have fallen to pieces just over 1 year later. I am told by Mark's customer services that there is only a 6 month wear and tear guarantee on all of their shoe range. Presumably this is because they realise the boots are cheap rubbish and made to look good. The divider between the insole is made from Indian news print papier mache and the soles seem to be made from cheesecake.
