Buyacar staff and website are excellent. They gave good and truthful advice, and as I was nervous spending so much money on the internet, I tracked them as a company for 12 months, kept checking reviews, checked with trading standards and did everything I could to make sure I wasn't going to be ripped off.
The car is fantastic too, but that's down to Ford :-)
As long as you know what you are getting into, and understand the process, no bad points what so ever. And if you don't understand, you shouldn't be buying a car in the internet anyway really!
Buyacar are a web based company that use their purchasing power to buy new cars from dealers, and then sell them on to us public for a realy good price. The downside of this is that Buyacar must register your new car in their name originally, so even though you have a brand new car, you come on the log book as a second owner. They also "look after" your log book for you for six months, so you don't then just sell the car on for a profit.
I ordered a brand new Ford Fiesta Titanium, with loads of extra's, so the final bill was £13,700, which was total of £2739 less than list price, and about £1000 cheaper than anywhere else I could negotiate. So if you plan to keep the car a while, like I do (5+ years), the fact that I am the second owner doesn't worry me.
(please note, the Fiesta was a new car at this time, so there were not many really deep discounts from anywhere, and no second hand ones that met my requirements)
