I booked 2 tickets to South America connecting through LA with cheaptickets.com 4 months prior to my scheduled travel. I received all the necessary confirmations, and confirmed them via phone prior to leaving for the airport. When we arrived at the airport we were informed there was no booking for our first flight to LA-our flight had been canceled without our consent. When we called cheaptickets to sort out the matter, a representative put us on hold for an hour and half with the knowledge that our flight was leaving shortly and if we missed the flight we would miss our connecting flights. We ended up having to buy tickets directly from the airline, at great expense, or risk missing all our booked flights. After our vacation we contacted Cheaptickets.com and they have admitted to a mistake on there end, as well as mistakes on the airlines part but will not issue any kind of refund. I was pushed around to 5 different representatives and asked to fax in the sane information on 3 occasions. Unknowable customer service reps left me on hold for a total of over hour 8 hours, managers refused to call me back, and rather than answering my questions used a series of automated responses. Still with no refund, cheaptickets has pushed me off to deal with the airline- a south American airline with few English speaking representatives. I will NEVER use cheaptickets.com, and I would not recommend their services to ANYONE.
