HSBC's 'fraud' management system is either perfect or useless, depending on your point of view. My view is that it is totally useless. Constant harrassment from the 'fraud' department in respect of perfectly legitimate transacations. This has happened over and over and over again. If you like repeating a dozen credentials to each and every one you have to talk to then thats fine. I don't. Their internet banking service is one of the best, but this pales into insignificance when compared with the incompetence of their staff, and the totally useless 'fraud' management system they use. Its quite simply designed to stop you doing any transactions whatsoever, without first having phoned up HSBC and warning them before you do the transaction. Utterly ludicrous. It certainly prevents fraud, because it doesn't seemingly allow any transactions to take place at all!
