General Comments

We, too, purchased a Humax after researching, believing it to be the best. We purchased the Humax PVR 9300T, from Currys and took out an extended 3 year warranty. We are now on our 3rd box, every one having had the same problem. We set the series link to record but after several weeks it knocks itself off and fails to record. Moreover, invariably if you set two programs to record, consecutively, the second fails to record. Fortunately, our three year warranty with Currys is still in valid, I cannot praise Currys enough for exchanging without quibble, and they have offered to exchange for a different make. I wish I knew what to exchange for because I had believed Humax was the best.

You, I and phit03 (18th Oct 2008) seem to be the only people with consistant problems which are repeated upon exchanged boxes. I don't know if others' have started playing up further down the ownership line, or whether we select three are really the only unlucky ones. I too am trying to find a replacement as my son uses it to record items/ series for part of one of his A Levels.

I am not disappointed with ease of use, playback quality, updating etc, but the unreliability of what's to be recorded (and for me I get especially peeved to frequently not know "who done it " in thrillers when the last few crucial minutes get cut!)
