Looks great. Love the technology behind induction cooking.

Hob cannot function as part of the working surface. Has to be located in isolation, away from kitchen activities that might spill or splatter onto it. No reference in literature about 'temperature balancing' between rings which means that two cannot be on full power at same time.

Most frustrating of appliances ever! Even the smallest of spills or splatter activates the 'safety' lock on the de dietrich and everything shuts down for two minutes while I press in vain on the lock icon to get it going again. Wiping the surface during cooking means making sure that it is polished dry as even the slightest dampness will cause the safety lock to come on. Not having the wok feature, it is difficult to stir fry as 'shaking ' the pan breaks the magnetic contact with the surface and causes the safety lock to come on.and I have to wait two minutes again before it can be de-activated. I went back to my supplier to see if there was a way to de-sensitise this function and basically was told that I had to learn not to be such a messy cook. I have persevered but two many meals have now been ruined because I cannot maintain the heat under pans.
