General Comments

I have been a customer of Egg for many years now, both with a loan and a credit card.
I am reviewing my finances at the moment so checked my online statement for my loan. I have just discovered that they have added payment protection insurance even though I said I didn't want it and have a letter from them to confirm this. This is an extra £2133.45 on an initial loan of £5000. Have just emailed and await their reply......
The credit card I have from them is even worse. They have recently hiked up the interest rates from jsut over 16% to over 21%. Also my monthly payments were £50 a month but 2 months ago they hiked them up to over £200 a month without warning. I will have to declare myself bankrupt at this rate!
Their customer service is appalling. I am unable to contact anyone there by phone at the moment.
