General Comments
I have banked with Abbey for 2 years now but have found them to be not only penny pinching, they have poor customer service who have no idea about small businesses and i genuinely think their overseas (so called) help-line is appaling (and has cost them at least one customer - me!). My advice, get out and pay more for a better service, they make a fortune on our deposits yet we get nothing back. They provide a business bank account service that is notionally free but you lose a lot on not being flexible - and 4 days to transfer money out of an account is these days just ridiculous.
