General Comments

There are over 300 cruise boats on the Nile, but only one Royal Viking. Discover Egypt have a few boats they use - Viking III and the Royal Viking (Viking Premier is currently being renovated), and a couple of more expensive boats. I can highly recommend the Royal Viking. My daughter and I spent a week in May on it, and the tour guides/egyptologists are brilliant. You're very much protected from a lot of the hassle, and if you ever have any problems with any of the traders, the tour guides will sort it out for you. My advice is enjoy the bartering - you can always walk away and go back to your boat or coach. Don't be afraid - what's the worst that can happen??
