To be honest any criticism would be carping.


General Comments

Just got back from Baltic cruise. First timers so judged cruise on its own merits. Absolutely fantastic. We were freedom diners and food was very good and we had no problems getting into the Cinnamon when we fancied being waited on.

Service was fantastic throughout. Easily up to top restaurant standards. Please remember that the staff are away from home for 10 months of the year and I suspect get paid very little (minimum wage not apply?) so don't be mean with the tips.

Room excellent and our beds were made twice a day (following daytime nap). Drinks at pub prices with Old Speckled Hen available in bottles. Cocktail of the Day at £2.50 good value.

Entertainment pretty good. Lots of lookalike/soundalikes and the theatre company was fine. We particularly liked the classical pianists. Several current films (Mama Mia, Quantum of Solace etc) but maybe should have had a midnight showing for us owls.

4 swimming pools and being out of school holiday season I often had these to myself. Gym very well equipped.

Oslo our favourite place. Kristianstad disappointing (don't pay for private shuttle bus if you can walk as town about 10 mins walk) and I would have preferred 2 nights in Oslo instead.

Would definitely recommend the Ventura.
