I have been with Tiscali Broadband for around 5 years. Had a period of around 3 months very poor connection speeds but that was when i upgraded to 8mb from 2 mb. Went back to 2mb and now get consistent 2.5Mb connection.
ONE BIG NOTE: Since Tiscali has been bought out by CPW (talk Talk) my connection keeps dropping each night and router needs a reset each morning, coincidence? i dont think so. I will be moving to O2 broadband shortly as i know Talk talk service is even worse and dont want my service controlled by them. I run my own mail server and need my connection to be reliable.
Would have recommended previously but not now!!

This is the same problem I had, and the last problem I'll be having with Tiscali now I finally got a mac.
