I switched over from BT Yahoo! broadband to TalkTalk as I believed I would receive the same service but at a cheaper price. Oh what a surprise! My connection speed dropped from 8mbs to 2mbs and I was not able to run bittorrent or p2p programs. This is the worst ISP I have even been with and I fixed the problem by opting out using their 10 day trial policy.
I phoned customer services to resolve the issue but they gave me the same thing time and time again, quoting information I already knew but trying to make it seem as though they were doing nothing wrong by throttling p2p ports In their contract they worded it to sounded harmless but in reality it killed the internet for me..
The only lesson learnt is that although BT's prices are more expensive you pay for what you get! I'm back with BT now and happily using p2p programs at my original speed of 8mbs.
