Good Points

vast amounts of space and storage, frost free so no having to compromise space for ice. like the large door compartment for large bottles of milk etc


Bad Points

frost free but the problem of having to manually clean the build up of solid ice behind the scenes. think simply a LARGER drainage hole would fix that problem. this got blocked which backed up the water to build the big block of ice


General Comments

Recently had the same problem with the Hotpoint FF200E of warm fridge, cold freezer. Of course it was just out of guarantee, so the fear of calling an engineer out and pulling out the equivalence of a new fridge/freezer for the repair. I followed advice on forums:

defrost over night with doors open ... next day, remove back cover inside freezer (about 4/5 surface screws and 4/5 submerged screws), then remove casing with fan behind that by releasing catches on side (unplug the fan from back for ease). Here you will find a big block of ice below grill. I used a hairdryer to melt edges and removed the block of ice. ALSO need to defrost and unblock drainage with some boiling water, ensure theres flow. Stick it all back together,

Then the problem of flashing lights:

Make sure fridge OFF freezer OFF ... then turn mains on. ONLY turn freezer to max, after 30mins put fridge to 1care ... this should overcome the problem of the flashing lights. When both nice and cool turn settings down. it worked for me
