Bad Points

Just about everything.
I particularly dislike low power BB guns. BB's, being perfect spheroids and made of steel, tend to ricochet all over the place, and they frequently end up hitting the shooter. Remember "A Christmas Story?" "You'll shoot your eye out!" Well, the kid in the flick shot at a can - and it rebounded right at his eye. Fortunately he was wearing glasses.
Look: If you must get a BB gun (and I have owned many), get one with sufficent power to penetrate a can (because 5 out of 10 that's what you'll be shooting at), ALWAYS wear shooting glasses, and make sure you have an absorbant backstop. The Walther PPK/s is a dangerous gun - not because it is powerful - but because it isn't.

General Comments

I must have wretched luck when it comes to blowback pistols. I really looked forward to this one, being a James Bond fan and all. But the problem is that this blowback pistol - at least the one I have - doesn't blowback at all. Instead, it consistantly jams when the blowback mechanism attempts to return to the front (firing) position.. About a half inch from the muzzle it stops short and I have to shove the slide forward into position. This hardly makes it a semi-automaric.
I've tried lubing the slide, no luck. if anyone out there has an idea - please let me know.
Also, the accuracy is really bad - but I rather expected this, as the original PPK is pretty bad, too. (I cannot understand why James Bond preferred this gun - from 1929 - to a more modern weapon.)
I do like the initial (I have no other) blowback - really has a kick.
But that's about all, although the heft is nice.
I think blowbacks are rather a waste of money - in my experience (which has been pretty dismal), they tend to waste a lot of CO2 that should be used for power, not sliding doo-hickies. If you want "real" practice with a firarrm, buy one. But NOT a Walther PPK.

It's worth sending it back to Umarex, it is in no way supposed to be like that. Get a new one, or get your cash back to save up for something better.

Good Thinking. I did the latter - I've just about had it with blowbacks and am getting a different weapon. JIM
