General Comments

I have got a CCJ thanks to Swift Car Cover. I had an accident three years ago which was my fault. I gave the other driver my insurance details and when I checked my account online the next week the claim had been added to my account so I knew the driver had contacted Swift. After that I forgot about the whole incident.
A year later I recieved a letter from Northampton County Court about a hearing date I had to attend to recover the costs for this incident. I was no longer with Swift Car Cover by then as they were so awkward whenever I had dealt with them in the past. I called the court and Swift to sort the matter out and I did not have to go to court and again I assumed Swift had settled the matter.
A couple of months ago I applied for a mortgage and was turned down because I had a CCJ. When I checked my credit report-there it was from Northampton County Court. I called Swift again who forwarded my all correspondence between them and the court. They kept paying small amounts but never fully settling the claim. Even three years later on they still owed £50. I am now in the process of trying to remove my CCJ but it has cost me £75 so far and there is no guarentee of removal. I paid my insurance by direct debit and never missed a payment so I expected the company to deliver a decent service. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
