Good Points

Seat pitch was comfortable but there again, I am only of average height and small build. The cabin staff were pleasant and efficient but not doubt were instructed to sell as much as they could to the passengers. The cabin staff were continuously at work . Needless to say, items were expensive.


Bad Points

The aircraft was certainly showing its age. The seats are very basic and the interior was rather shabby. However, my most memorable moment of my flight was the totally unacceptable rudeness of one of the Jet2.com's member of staff at Tenerife's airport on the return journey. An A4 size piece of paper had been propped up on the check-in counter stating that passengers with a printed internet boarding pass should queue in that particular line. Unfortunately only those passengers who were at the head of the queue could really see the notice. The Jet2.com's female representative wandered down the line, checking tickets and she spoke to a single female passenger several metres from the front of the queue. The passenger was in the wrong queue even though she had booked on-line and thought she was in the correct queue. "Can't you read? Can't you understand English?" snapped the representative loudly pointing to the almost hidden notice on the the check-in counter! Totally unacceptable and needless rudeness! I wonder how many passengers in ear-shot vowed there and then never to fly Jet2.com if the company allow such individuals to work for them! Jet2.com's much publicised fast bag drop just does not work. On the outward journey I must have queued for well over half-an-hour.
Even though the aircraft landed 30 minutes early, there was a delay of approximately 20 minutes before most of the passengers could leave the 'plane. No explanation given. Manchester Airport's fault? I joked while waiting on the aircraft that at least our bags would be waiting for us the baggage hall. How I wish I had not said that! Baggage from the Santori flight (arriving after us) and Tenerife flight had been put on the same carousel even though the carousels on either side were not being used? We must have waited an hour and a quarter from landing to bag collection. Manchester Airport's fault? And while the latter has been mentioned. Why are there no drinking water fountains airside? I think we all know the answer to that!


General Comments

Will I fly with Jet2.com again? No! Will I fly from Manchester Airport again? I' m reluctant!
