misleading info, unhelpful staff, annoying phone answering system


General Comments

Paypal is a complete waste of time, do not use if you want informative competent advise or service, I sent an item sold on ebay and the buyer complained after 2 days that he hadn't received the item, I sent the buyer and paypal a copy of the proof of postage receipt with buyers address printed and confirmed. from what the buyer had told me it was clear he was not telling the truth, but never the less, even though paypal had confirmed receiving the postage receipt, they found against me and refunded the buyer leaving my paypal account in negative figures.
I paid the amount off to bring my account to zero again and paypals website says this should take 3-4 working days to clear, that was 6 days ago and I've been told this morning by paypal that account will not be useable for another 9 working days. when asked why? they couldn't give me a proper explanation, saying it was the difference between uk and american banking????
website info is misleading, staff unhelpful and the most annoying automated answering system you've ever heard, (tip: if you want to speak to someone at paypal but can't get past the automated security guard answering system press 0 ten times and it bypasses the system putting you straight through to customer services.)
In the space of 6 months it is now twice that they have failed me and I have told them that I will close my account and not use again
