Incorrect billing, bad data, rude staff


General Comments

PC World are completely incompetent. After a purchase that we paid for in store, sent us two bills with varying amounts, and when we queried, they said 'Oh, it's just our computer system, it always makes mistakes like that, just ignore it.' How reassuring for my accountant, and from a computer company.

When we made the purchase, they also said we had to put a credit card number for an insurance payment 'just for the paperwork'. We weren't allowed to make the purchase without doing so, so after some argument we conceded. They assured us it wouldn't actually get billed. Big surprise three payments later we were still struggling to get it cancelled and they were insisting we had set it up so we wanted it, so we weren't entitled to a refund.

When I phoned for support they didn't have the correct account details, then when he couldn't answer my question - without a word, i was redirected to Rentsmart, who were baffled as to why I'd been redirected there.
