General Comments
Just returned This weekend from a great, long weekend at DC courtesy of Sun Holidays.
Check in was quick and easy, Receptionists were helpful, Caravan was nice, but why oh why dont they provide a toaster and microwave as standard?
For the time of year, waking up in the morning was freezing! and a quick dash to the fire was in order. Maybe the vans are not insulated or double glazed? Our van was placed on a terraced area, though not a problem for active families it would prove difficult to those not blessed with average/good health and fitness.
The Main entertainment bar prices were very reasonable at £2.75 for a pint of carlsberg, probably no different in price to your local..
The quality of the evening entertainment was top class and no costs were spared here.
The indoor swimmimg pool was fine.
The on site shop was well stocked though a little pricey, so its up to you to take as much stock as you can.
I was informed that Starbucks was a must (by my wife)
Beach was above average though a little hilly on the way down...worth it when you get there.
A decent selection of places to eat at the complex, with pizzas, fish and chip shop, burger king. I suppose a bit on the fast food side but hey...its holiday time and let the waistline expand a bit.
I was slightly aggitated by the young lads on the mics constantly pushing the sale of beer and pap john's pizza's but its what they get paid for.
Haven at Devon cliffs is a money making machine...but arent they all.
All in all definately worth a visit at the price I paid ( £122) for a long weekend... would I be happy if I paid £650 peek season for a week......I dunno...
Go on, give them a go
