General Comments

The best points of this Browning 525 shotgun is barrel weighting. For me, the balance is just about perfect and I am very average 5' 10", 200lb. The triggers are better than my old A-5 by light years. It is crisp and the inertia triggers have never failed to fire. It weighs almost 9 lbs, so it is not a walk about game gun but I am looking forward to dove season this year. I personally prefer the Browning over the Berretta because of the higher profile receiver and slightly heavier weight. Hitting clays is 95% about the shooter and only 5% about the gun.....and here is where the 525 shines. For a modest price, you can pick up this Browning and purchase lessons....you will hit more clays than the rich guy blasting aimlessly away with his Perazzi or Kreighoff!!! Overall, I have found it a superb value. I purchased mine used for 1125 USD. It is a 30" sporting clays model. I have put approximately 2000 rounds through it and have not had one miss-fire. The gun cleans easily and the original superposed design is incredibly easy to assemble. I shoot 1 ounce loads and the recoil is negligible. This is a robustly built shotgun that will probably take a lifetime or two of normal use without having to see a gunsmith.
