Good after incident, quick tow truck, calm manner

Customer srvice, staff apathy, miss communicatio, just plain lieing.


General Comments

Not a nice experience with Direct Line Insurance.

Simply put - think twice before insuring with direct line. I'm a carefull driver but two years ago me, and several other drivers, hit an oil slick and came off the road. I clipped the front left wheel causing a fair bit of damage to that corner of the car.

phoned direct line from the roadside and they arranged a tow truck etc very quickly.

Police report stated that no one was at fault, expected to pay excess and did so.

I expected to recieve money from direct line promptly, I gave them accurate infornmation - sent them the correct documents when they asked for them, did all I could to ease the process.

It took me 4 months to get any money from them! Constant phone calls to direct line led no where, It was as if they thought I would just go away. they claimed, falseley, that my adress deatil were incorrect, when this had been proved to be untrue they claimed that my surname was spelt incorrectly on my V5 and that I was unable to claim as such.

After much upset and alot of help from the DVLA I finally recieved my money.
