All. They just spoiled the rare and special moment of getting a new camera and enjoying the process and the product.


General Comments

Used items are sold as "new".

I cannot figure out why I did not check the reviews before I bought my camera from pc world online store. They are tragic, will never purchase again. I was brought a camera which was obviously used, and then returned this to their store in High street Kensington and specifically requested a "new, untouched" box / camera. My new box was supposed to have a safety strip on it. However, right after the money paperwork took place, the smarty man there took the camera I returned, placed it into the box and took out a safety strip exactly the same as the one in my box, and closed it. He was whistling and he was showing off, as if he said, "the camera you got is not new, I tricked you didn't I"!! And that was true, as I realised when I opened the box.

Only thing I regret is I did not ask for a refund at that very moment. I really need the camera immediately, but I should not fall into that, because this is what PC World are counting on. I am pretty convinced my camera is not new but refurbished, but of course it has been paid as new. I am planning to write a letter to canon about this. Might sound a small silly think to do, but who knows. Am I too desperate here??!!! I pray my camera will not turn up faulty. If it does, as a true Greek girl I will make a big fuss at the store. If you read anything at the Metro, about a rude girl breaking the politeness of poor nice employees, that will probably be me. But let's hope not.

And a detail: as I walked in the store (as aforementioned, the Kensington High street branch), the place was empty and the only place with customers was the restoration and returns section! How pathetic is that. I will be very happy to see pc world empire collapsing soon and all those useless people working there feeling the consequences of their actions.
