Good Points

None. They are bobbins.

Bad Points

Nothing handled 'in house' by Diamond Car Insurance
In fact, nothing handled at all as they have you doing all the run around with their 'preferred partners'
Never able to actually identify me in the first place (until 20 minutes later and much 'checking of another system' when they will ask me to confirm who I am with all the data I've been detailing to them in the phonetic alphabet for the last 20 mins)
Huge queues on the phone to speak with someone (listened to Elton's greatest hits. Twice.)
...
Aww, I could go on, but I'm even boring myself now with their medicrity. They're just rubbish. Don't do it. You've only got one life. Spend the extra 20 quid.

General Comments

We've had two incidents (none our fault!) within our one year of cover with Diamond Car Insurance and the same faults and shoddy customer service applied on both occasions - so it's definitely systemic rather than bad luck.
So what's so bad?
First and foremost, Diamond do not actually take care of anything themselves; everything is outsourced to third parties, so not only does no one give a tuppence as you spend hours on the phone to all these different 'partners' of Diamond, but you can very often find yourself in a never ending loop, being referred back and forth to people that you've already spoken to but are still as unable to help as the first time you spoke to them.
As well as annoying and a massive waste of time, isn't this running around something that the insurance company is supposed to do? It has been when I've dealt with Allianz and Direct Line, anyway...
Then there's all the other annoyances - they never have your details right, can never find you on first go on their system, keep you waiting on the phone for ever (to then tell you to ring someone else...)
They are rubbish and I would never ever ever, not in a million years, for all the tea in China renew with them.
