Good Points

Excellent deal, nice car.

good after sales

The price you see is the price you pay - No list price salesman discount rubbish


Bad Points

Slightly annoying trying to confirm warranty exists when contacting ssangyong UK as they do not appear to like the motorpoint way of selling parrallel import cars.

Sales staff are push for you to place a deposit and try to sell you every insurance under the sun afterwards.


General Comments

i purchased a ssangyong rexton 270 auto (new parrallel import). the car is itself built like a tank and after taking it home i noticed the drivers door was a little hard to close. i contacted motorpoint and found the after care is good and they have a dedicated hotline, problem solved (but i should have checked properly). i had issues with the warranty after i phoned ssangyong uk to see if the car was registered as motorpoint claimed. ssangyong uk were very unhelpful stating the car was not covered by the manufacturers warranty as it was sold by motorpoint. after a few e-mails, they finally admitted it was. buyers of this car - when contacting ssangyong, ask them to check against the factory database (not uk one) and you will see it is covered by the warranty.

    with regards to your comments relating to the Ssangyong warranty ~ did you mean the standard 60k / 3 year or was it the 250k / 5 year warranty that is currently on offer?
