Yet to be out-run by any of the 09's even with mods. Handling is great (thanks to Michelin) although you need to find "your" settings for the suspension. Power delivery is much-improved by velocity-stacks. Overall, this is the best of all 05' literbikes and can still spank the new ones!
Bad Points
Brakes are good but not the "best of all" for this model year between the manufacturer's.
General Comments
The Kawasaki ZX10R 1000 has great handling, massive power, good ergonomics and brakes. 2005 ZX10R model was the best for lightness in weight and handling. Gear-shift problems corrected over 04 model. I agree, a bike not for the inexperienced rider or of faint-heart. Mine has considerable mods, Power Commander USB, "Thin" Kaw Factory Head Gasket, Degree'd Cams, Factory Pro Velocity- Stacks, Muzzy's All-Titanium Exhaust and K&N Air Filter. Added a steering dampener, lost the rear pegs with a exhaust bracket and added the rear seat cowl. The bike weighs about the same as a stock 600. The term is "awsome" and added a set Michelin PP's to give me my perfect package!
